World number one Tiger Woods has his eyes set on a prize he’s captured four times already in his illustrious career – the Green Jacket at Augusta.
Tiger is not only favourite to win The Masters this year with bookies, experts and fans all backing him, but should he prove everyone right and indeed achieve victory then it would be his first Major win since 2008.
Of course there’s also the small detail of surpassing legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18 Major titles, and Woods, currently on 14 Major championships, looks in good stead for this accolade too, after overcoming personal troubles, 4 separate knee injuries and swing changes in his game.
Tiger is the dominant figure in golf and has been since winning his first Major title in 1997 at the rosy-cheeked age of 21. And after a shocking dip that saw him plummet in the world rankings all the way to 58th in November 2011, Tiger is roaring again. And this time there doesn’t appear to be any knee injuries or personal problems to slow him down.
