Red Arrows Flyover Delights Crowd at DP World Tour Championship
Fans watching the action unfolding at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai were treated to more than just a round of golf when the RAF’s Red Arrows Aerobic Team surprised the crowd with an amazing flypast.
It was even more for the fans in attendance to enjoy on the opening day of the 2013 season-ending DP World Tour Championship, with the stunning display a wonderful sight to behold.
The famed Red Arrows are currently in the UAE for the Dubai Air Show and the European Tour was able to convince them into a surprise 17th and 18th hole flyover just after 12:30pm local time.
Flying in a chevron-like formation, the Red Arrows hurtled over the Earth Course, leaving behind a trail of red, white and blue smoke.
Alejandro Canizares apparently believed it was the French Air Force when he looked up and saw the planes darting through the sky, but the Spaniard was soon informed that it was the famous RAF squadron.
