Driver Transforms Car into Mini Golf Course
A driver of a Volkswagen has gone green – but not in the traditional sense – and turned his car into one of the most unusual miniature golf courses ever.
The car was spotted on Cambridge’s Grand Arcade shopping centre car park by a local wedding photographer, who then snapped a few pictures for the paper.
The car is covered in turf and has two sand-filled bunkers and a putting green on its roof, officially taking the term ‘driving range’ a step too far.
The Astroturf fairway covers most of the car’s exterior, and there’s even a raised teeing area and genuine metal golf club struck on the bonnet for that extra authentic effect.
The photographer told the Cambridge News: “I saw the vehicle in the car park at the Grand Arcade and couldn’t believe it. It was just so bizarre. For someone who is obviously a big golf fan they have gone to incredible lengths for their passion for golf. It looked great but in a weird way.
“Once I started taking pictures a lot of other people gathered around and started taking photos of it. It was the strangest sight to see in a car park."
