Nike VR_S Covert 2.0 Driver
The Nike VR_S Covert driver is the world’s first to feature conforming High Speed Cavity Back technology.
This sleek golf club offers more forgiving distance and faster golf ball speed with simple, intuitive customisation to meet the swing needs of every golfer on the greens.
The High Speed Cavity Back has been a big talking point among golfers since it was announced by Nike, and it works by distributing weight to the heel and toe which allows for increased distance and more stability across the face of the driver. And does it work I hear you ask? Darn right it does! Like a dream!
Nike Golf Director of Engineering, Nate Radcliff, said on Nike Golf’s official website: “We re-engineered the VRS Covert 2.0 with enhancements to our High Speed Cavity Back technology that allow athletes to experience more forgiving distance than ever before.
“The new VRS Covert 2.0 driver features a redesigned cavity with Fly-Brace technology that ties the sole to the crown. By stiffening the rear portion of the club, more energy is transferred to the face at impact. The end result is even greater ball speed and up to six yards of distance gain over last year’s model.”
The VR_S Covert 2.0 drivers feature two additional proprietary technologies: larger, re-engineered NexCOR face for increased golf ball speeds off the green; FlexLoft adjustability that allows players to easily customise their loft and face angle position for 15 drivers in one. This is great news for all you tech-savvy golfers out there. And for those of you who aren’t so sure what all this stuff is, well, it’s really good OK? That’s all you need to know!
The redesigned NexCOR face incorporates variable face thickness for a faster, hotter face and as a result, more speed at impact. It’s 15-percent larger in the VR_S Covert 2.0 Tour driver and seven-percent larger in the VRS Covert 2.0 driver, making this a formidable golf club.
