PING Anser Driver
The matte black stealth bomber, the Ping Anser may be the most discreet driver trying to get in your bag for 2013. Not every driver needs to be a funky colour, and this model from Ping proves simple is best. The matte finish reminds us of the Matte Black BMW M Series, and the headshape is classic Ping. Not too deep a face, and quite large from heel to toe. Not idiot proof looking, but there is no intimidation factor with this behind the ball.
Ping’s first adjustable driver, it’s a simple system, with three options. Square, half a degree up, and half a degree down. They aren’t trying to radically alter your ball-flight, Ping are just looking to fine tune it.
For the golf geeks out there, the Anser is available with four different shaft options. From the tour proven Fujikura Blur, Mitsubishi Diamana ‘ahina, and Aldila Phenom, to Ping’s well engineered TFC 800D shaft.
